A permanent wave, often known as a “perm,” is a timeless technique that transforms straight or loosely waved hair into cascading curls or waves that endure. It involves using chemicals to break and restructure the hair’s natural bonds, allowing it to take on a new shape. Perms come in various styles, from classic tight curls to loose beachy waves, offering a way to achieve long-lasting, beautifully textured hair that adds volume and personality to your look.
We offer Short and Long hair perms, as well as Spiral, Piggy Back, and Root Perms.
Regular Perm Wrap - Short Hair
In a standard perm the hair is wrapped around perm rods so that the hair layers over itself until you have wound the entire segment of hair on the rod. This is good for many lengths of hair and the size of the rod is usually determined by the level of curl desired and the length of the hair. This type of perm is best on shoulder length hair or shorter. This is a specialty service not offered in many salons today however texture and curl are coming back into the forefront of fashion. Ask your stylist about your options.
Regular Perm Wrap - Long Hair
A permanent wave, also known as a perm, is a chemical hair treatment that can be used to add curl and body to your hair. Every perm has two parts: the physical wrapping of the hair into shapes and a chemical bath that breaks and then reforms the disulphide bonds of your hair.
Speciality Wrap Perm
One example of a specialty wrap is a multi-textured perm. The stylist can use two different sized perm rods creates curls that are natural and less defined. This is a great look to add body and dimension for long hair. Another type of specialized permanent treatment is a partial perm.
